Polishing

Polishing is the final step in the finishing process for stone, concrete and composite surfaces. With the right polishing pads and diamond sanding blocks you can transform a dull, rough surface into a sleek, glossy result. Our polishing range covers everything you need — from coarse sanding blocks for initial levelling to ultra-fine polishing pads for a mirror finish.

From grinding to high gloss in steps

Professional polishing follows a progressive grit sequence. You start coarse — for example grit 50 or 100 — to remove imperfections and scratches. Then you work step by step toward finer grits until you reach the desired level of shine. For most natural stone applications four to six steps are sufficient. Concrete floors may require additional steps depending on the hardness of the top layer and the finish you want to achieve.

Wet and dry polishing

Wet polishing pads use water as a lubricant, which results in less dust and a finer surface. Dry polishing is more convenient on site where no water supply is available. Many of our pads are suitable for both methods, giving you the flexibility to work across different projects. Diamond sanding blocks are ideal for hand-finishing edges, corners and hard-to-reach spots that a machine cannot handle comfortably.

The choice between wet and dry also depends on the workspace. Indoor jobs in occupied buildings benefit from wet polishing because of the dust reduction, while outdoor work or sites without water access favour dry pads.
