Adapters and couplings are small but critical accessories that ensure your saw blades, drill bits and discs fit every machine. An adapter reduces or enlarges the arbor hole of a blade so it can be mounted on a machine with a different spindle size. Without adapters you would need separate blades for every machine.
Saw blades are supplied with a standard arbor hole, usually 22.23 mm (M14) or 25.4 mm. Not every machine has the same spindle size. An adapter reduces, for example, a 25.4 mm hole to 22.23 mm so the blade fits an angle grinder with a standard M14 mount. The reverse is also possible: from 22.23 mm to 20 mm for certain table saws. The adapter must fit tightly to prevent vibration.
In addition to blade adapters we also offer couplings for drill machines and core drill rigs. Think SDS-plus to M16, 1/2-inch BSP to M14, or cylindrical to hexagonal shank. With the right coupling you connect any drill bit to any machine without investing in an entirely new bit programme. Keep your adapters organised in a dedicated compartment of your toolbox — nothing is more frustrating than arriving on site and discovering you are missing the one adapter you need.
Keep your adapters organised in a dedicated compartment of your toolbox. Nothing is more frustrating than discovering on site that you are missing the one adapter needed to fit the blade to the machine. A complete adapter set eliminates that problem entirely.
A set of adapters in your toolbox prevents frustration on site. You always have the right intermediate piece to hand, regardless of the machine or blade combination. Our adapters and couplings are manufactured from hardened steel and precision-machined for a vibration-free fit, rated for the high RPMs of angle grinders and drill rigs. Browse the full range and make sure your toolbox is always complete.
